1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Mzansi Rental App, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform.

2. Platform Role

Mzansi Rental App is a marketplace platform that connects landlords and tenants. We do not process rent payments — all payments are made directly between landlords and tenants. Mzansi Rental App records payment information as provided by the parties and generates rental statements based on those records.

3. Landlord Obligations

  • All listings must be accurate, current, and not misleading
  • Properties must be habitable and comply with applicable municipal by-laws
  • Landlords must comply with the Rental Housing Act (Act 50 of 1999)
  • Ghost listings (listing properties that are not available) are prohibited and will result in account suspension

4. Tenant Obligations

  • All information provided during registration must be accurate
  • Tenants must honour signed lease agreements
  • Payment records logged by tenants must accurately reflect payments made

5. Lease Agreements

Mzansi Rental App provides a lease agreement template as a convenience tool for landlords. The template is a starting point only — landlords are free to add, remove, or modify clauses to suit their specific circumstances. Mzansi Rental App does not generate legally binding documents on behalf of any party, and no fee is charged for the use of this template. Landlords and tenants are responsible for ensuring their agreements comply with the Rental Housing Act (Act 50 of 1999) and any other applicable legislation.

6. Limitation of Liability

Mzansi Rental App is not a party to any rental agreement between landlords and tenants. Rental statements reflect records logged by the parties and do not constitute bank statements or audited financial records. Mzansi Rental App is not liable for disputes between landlords and tenants.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
