- Identity information: name, email address, South African ID number, cell phone number
- Property information: address details, lease agreements, payment records
- Verification documents: ID document images, proof of address, payslips
- Financial information: bank account details (encrypted), payment records
- Platform usage data: listing views, search history, login records
3. Purpose of Processing
We process your information to:
- Verify your identity as required by FICA and POPIA
- Facilitate rental agreements between landlords and tenants
- Generate legally binding lease agreements and rental statements
- Send transactional notifications related to your account
- Improve our platform and prevent fraud
4. Security of Your Information
Your SA ID number and bank account details are encrypted using AES-256 encryption before storage. We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption for all data in transit.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and for a period of 5 years thereafter, as required by applicable South African legislation. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting info@sens.org.za.
